Steve has been involved with the marching activity since 1979 as a performer and educator for percussion and color guard captions.

Steve is a graduate of East Syracuse Minoa. He holds an AAS from Canton College and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technologies from Syracuse University. Over the past 25+ years Steve has worked with several marching bands, color guards and indoor percussion ensembles including East Syracuse Minoa, Liverpool, Auburn, Clinton, Sackets Harbor and Jordan Elbridge. For the last 23 years Steve has found his home with the New Hartford Marching Spartans. Steve is the founding director of the New Hartford Indoor Percussion Ensemble, also know as NHIPE. The NHIPE program started in 1999 and joined the NYSPC in 2005 in the stand still class, moving quickly in to the PSA class in their second year of competition.

Steve also has a long career in the Drum Corps activity, marching and/or teaching with the Rochester Crusaders, Syracuse Brigadiers, Kingston Grenadier’s and Empire Statesmen. Steve spent a year on the DCA Board as the Director of Development/Marketing.

Steve currently is the NYSPC Show Host Coordinator, a position he has held for the past 3 years. As well, Steve currently became a member at large for the 2019 season.
